I made this bat in 2016 for a contest that my class participates in every year called Saving Endangered Species. This watercolor painting shows a child letting go of a Florida Bonneted Bat.
This Sea Turtle was my first wateroclor painting made in the Lascaux Academy camp. It was a lot of fun to paint because of all of the different objects in the painting.
This painting is my favorite painting becuase I love how it turned out, my choice of colors, and how well the colors blended together. I am very proud of this painting becuase the shapes of the leaves were very hard to perfect.
This watercolor painting is my second favorite, and one of my recent projects. The Golden Gate Bridge was very complicated but fun. I enjoyed blending the different reds, oranges, and purples for the bridge.
This is a still life painting of persimmons and green grapes. The persimmons were very hard to paint because of the other persimmons casting a shadow on one another. But I loved this project because there was a lot of gradiation involved.
This is a painting of trees on an island in the spring. In this painting I got to be creative and try out many different techniques. For example, I made the leaves on the trees by mixing a green, taking a sponge, dipping the sponge in the green, and then dabbing the sponge onto the canvas to make the leafy effect.
